Holden VL Commodore Custom Double Radio Dash Fascia

This kit is to install a double din radio, where the A/C controls, radio and ash tray are in a Holden VL Commodore (all Gen 1 Commodores). This kit requires the removal of the A/C controls, the ash tray and the 12v barrel plug. This kit is designed to fit vehicles that still have the standard HVAC system install as well. To clear the IP beam, the HVAC system and be installed horizontal the install height is 19mm from the bottom of the trim and is tilt 15 degrees so that the head unit is level sits proud. This 15 degree tilt is why the bottom lip of the radio sits proud 40mm. 

The kit allow for radio head units that are 170mm deep to be installed. The DIN pocket can be drilled for mounting screws and the backing plate reinforces the top left corner of the surround trim that always breaks. The outer edges of the radio bezel are chamfered to match the finish of the VL trims that has chamfered bezels. 

Information about the Kit:

• 3D printed using black ASA and uses brass threaded inserts to bolt the DIN box to fascia and bolt the fascia to the backing plate.

• The fascia is the raw 3D printed part and is NOT finished to match the original trim 

• Mounting bolts and fasteners are included

• The VL dash surround is not included

This kit does require the removal of the ash tray mount and 12v barrel plug. That means cutting your dash, hence the warning with the kit photos.
